The Stephen Talkhouse is the coolest bar and place to listen to music in Amagansett. They have nightly entertainment it's one of the only places left where you can listen to great old bands in a small venue such as Hot Tuna and Average White Band and Rhythm bands like the Hot Heads. They also have occasional guest appearances such as Billy Joel, a local Long Island resident.

In the summer they also have a huge back porch area with a full bar and two pool tables. There is usually a cover charge that ranges between ten and twenty dollars. There is also a charge (that varies with the different acts) to see the headliners perform for the early show. The music is loud and the drinks are flowing especially when they have a great band playing. On a more personal note, having a summer share house in Amagansett I've spent many great nights at the TalkHouse hanging out and dancing the night away. The Talkhouse is a must-visit especially when your favorite band is playing. So please visit their web site for their schedule.
