WHAT WE ARE: A lovely, year round vacation getaway house on an unspoiled non- motorboat historic mountain lake. 100 ft. from the water. Our house is perfect for 4, which we base our rates on. And good for 6. Great for couples, small family, lovers. We are an intimate setting, quiet spot with respectful neighbors. Has great light. House feels Swedish. It’s wonderful for PEACE, SERENITY, and FAMILY AND FRIENDS. It’s a low key country scene. Enjoy the life indoors or out. Once there, decompress; forget about jumping in the car. Stay put, walk and dream and rediscover quietude. Lake community respects your privacy and must be mutual.

WHAT WE’RE NOT: A BOISTEROUS SOCIAL SCENE, LOUD PARTYING SCENE, not a group share or a large rambling group home for unrelated skiers, no slight intended. We are not close to Hunter Mt.

3 bedrooms: all double beds, nice linens, towels, wool blankets and throws.
2 tiled baths…upstairs tiled shower.
Thermostats in all rooms. Elec. heat and an efficient wood stove that keeps you toasty.
Kitchen: room for several to cook; tile counter, dishwasher, and micro, well equipped: appliances, cooks pots, sharp knives, staples, spices.
Washer/dryer; long screened porch, flagstone patio.

Yard 2.5 acres. 68 more acres to hike around lake and woods (bring a whistle, so you don't scare a bear) and nearby preserves. Real country.
Winter: cross country skiing on 68 acres. No ice fishing. Ice skating if ice is 10" deep (no risking it) Swimming, delightful in the summer…
too cold now, only if you dare. Our own beach. Still can fish and canoe or row.

Fly fishing in the Neversink River...begins in early spring. 3 min away. Lake has small mouth bass, perch and pickerel and cat fish, froggies (we stopped eating them). Wild turkeys and fox and deer (not so deer), bear, herons, eagles, ospreys. Guaranteed: stars and dark sky.

Lots of wildlife recreation; All year round: The Nature Conservancy; Neversink River Preserve, Basha Kill Preserve, (spring through Nov)Neversink Valley Area Museum; Weekly and monthly auctions in area, fishing, hiking, concerts, lectures, local vegetable (spring -Fall); flea markets, community breakfasts, live music(year round); Tennis courts in town;Horseback riding in valley. Milford, Pa. 17 miles west.

We're 76 miles from the GWB in western Orange Co, NY (9 miles east of Port Jervis). Near Route 84 in the southern tier of the Shawangunk Mts.
(north tier is New Paltz and Minnewaska) NEARBY TOWNS: Middletown 14 miles, Port Jervis 9 miles, and Otisville 7 miles. NEARBY RIVERS:
Neversink and Delaware, Walkill.
TRAIN: Metro North Commuter Railroad in Otisville. 7 miles: 1hr. 50 min to Hoboken. 12 MILES south of Route 17.

HOLIDAY Rates:

Christmas – New Year For 4....$1600 Fri Dec 23 (NOON) - Tues Jan 2 (12 noon) (for 6 it is $1800) 11 days, 10 nights. 50% Deposit and Security ($250) to reserve. Full payment received 1 week prior to reservation.
Deposit Cleaning $65.

6 MONTH RENTAL For 1-4 persons. Dec - Early June 06…. $1400 mo. (pay utilities)

Monthly Weekends Only: 4 persons: $1500… Fri noon - Sunday 5 PM. Flexible on some rates, arriving and leaving times.

Internet and Cable included, with charge, if requested.

No Smoking in house or on porch. Security Deposit $250 for short stay. More full longer stay. Security returned if no repairs. All broken appliances, furniture are to be noted and replaced; Cancellation schedule Pet surcharge. No aggressive or barking dogs. Dogs only on leash. Owner. More pics available.
