Seafood. It may not be much to look at, but this family restaurant has been a popular landmark for many decades. The reason is probably that the fresh seafood here is prepared very well, with no frills and few heavy sauces. A heavy favorite of our parents and grandparents. Casual dress.

Traditional American; Seafood. Located right next to the Shinnecock Inlet at the east end of Dune Road. Young in spot (pronounced madhouse) on weekend nights during the season. Outdoor decks are full to overflowing with funseekers and partygoers.

Italian. This local landmark is more upscale than family style, but it has been a family institution for at least the last generation or two. Although the traditional Italian fare is excellent, it is the warmth and charm of the dark-stained woodwork on the surrounding walls and wine racks which are most memorable. One of our personal favorites for many many years. Entree price range: $11.50 to $20.95. Open all year. Full liquor license; sit-down bar.
